Whether you've sold your business or are simply moving to a new professional email, transferring ownership is a two-stage process. Most people fail because they forget the 7-day waiting period.

Step 1: Invite the New Owner

The current Primary Owner must go to:
Settings → People and access → Add. Enter the new email and select "Owner" as the role.

Step 2: The 7-Day Waiting Period

Mandatory: Google will not allow the transfer of "Primary" status until the new person has been an "Owner" for at least 7 full days. This is a security feature.

Step 3: Transfer Primary Ownership

After 7 days, the original owner returns to the People and access menu. Click the role next to the new person's name and change it to "Primary Owner". Once they accept, they have full control, and you can be removed from the profile.
