Stop Sending Customers to the Wrong Street: How to Fix Your Map Pin
📅 Published: January 24, 2026 | 📝 By Sanjay Paul | ⏱️ 3 min read
Is your Google Map pin on the back of the building? Or worse, on the street behind you? Incorrect pins kill foot traffic. If a customer circles the block twice, they usually give up and go elsewhere.
The "Satellite View" Fix
Don't rely on the street address alone. Follow these steps to manually drag your pin to the exact front door:
- Log in to your Business Profile.
- Click Edit Profile → Business Information.
- Go to Location and click the pencil icon next to your address.
- Click "Adjust" on the map.
- Switch to Satellite View (this is the secret to seeing your actual roof).
- Drag the map until the red pin is exactly over your Main Entrance.
- Click Done and Save.
Note: Changes can take up to 48 hours to show up on everyone's phones. Check it on a mobile device once the edit is approved!
Still Not Showing Up Right?
Sometimes Google's "Street View" car hasn't updated your area. As a Street View Trusted Photographer, I can manually upload 360° photos to force-update the map.
