The "Silent Salesman" on Your Profile
How to List Services Like a Pro
Did you know Google has a "hidden" list where you can tell the AI every single thing you do? Many owners think the "Menu" button is only for restaurants. That is a big mistake.
As an Ex-Google Maps Specialist, I call the Services Section your "Silent Salesman." While you are sleeping, this list is telling Google exactly what you offer. If a customer asks, "Who does leather jacket repair near me?" and you haven't listed that specific service, you won't show up—even if you've been doing it for 20 years!
3 Minutes to More Sales:
- Step 1: Open your Google Profile and click "Edit Services."
- Step 2: Don't just pick the defaults. Click "Add Custom Service" and type in exactly what your customers ask for (e.g., "Organic Hair Coloring" or "Same-Day iPhone Screen Fix").
- Step 3: Add a Price and Description for each one. Google's AI prioritizes businesses that are transparent about what things cost.
Layman's Tip: Think of the last 5 questions a customer asked you on the phone. "Do you do X?" "Do you sell Y?" Take those 5 answers and add them as Custom Services right now!
