The Secret Language of Attributes

How to Help Google’s AI Recommend You

In 2026, when someone says "Hey Google, find me a quiet cafe with free Wi-Fi and vegan options," the AI doesn't just guess. It looks for Attributes.

As an Ex-Google Maps Specialist, I’ve found that many micro-business owners leave 60% of their profile empty. Attributes are the "hidden tags" that tell the AI exactly what your business offers. If you haven't ticked these boxes, you are invisible to voice and AI search.

3 Steps to Become AI-Ready:

  • Find the "More" Tab: Go to your Google Business Profile, click "Edit Profile," and scroll to the "More" section. This is where the magic happens.
  • Check EVERY Applicable Box: Do you have a "Wheelchair Accessible Entrance"? Is there "Gender-neutral Restroom"? Do you offer "Curbside Pickup"? Even small things like "Free Wi-Fi" or "Cash Only" are vital data points for the AI.
  • Highlight Your Identity: Google allows you to highlight if your business is "Woman-owned," "LGBTQ+ friendly," or "Small Business." These identity tags help you connect with customers who are intentionally looking to support local shops.
Why it works: When you add an attribute, you aren't just adding a line of text. You are creating a "Digital Fact." Google uses these facts to build its Knowledge Graph. The more facts you provide, the higher your trust score.

Are your attributes working for you?

I can perform a "Deep Audit" of your hidden data to ensure you show up in every relevant search.
